The Delta State Government has sealed a hotel and nightclub in Agbor following allegations that the venue was being used for underage prostitution and the consumption and distribution of illicit drugs.
The closure followed an order by the Delta State High Court, Agbor Judicial Division, Ika South Local Government Area, on February 10, 2026.
Court documents show that Orewa Ekene, trading as Bolero Concepts, was arraigned on a six-count charge of human trafficking under Section 17(c) of the Delta State Human Trafficking (Prohibition) Law, 2024 (Case No. AG/1C/2026: Delta State v. Orewa Ekene).
Orewa pleaded not guilty and was remanded at the Agbor Custodial Centre.
The court adjourned the matter to March 3, 2026, for further hearing.
During proceedings, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice requested that the hotel be frozen and sealed, citing its alleged role in criminal activities involving minors and illicit drugs.
The court granted the request on February 11, 2026, pending further hearings.
