The Delta State Government has alerted members of the public of a false advertorial on the recruitment being circulated through social media and other online platforms on the recruitment of teachers in public secondary schools in the state.

In a statement, the state Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr Patrick Ukah, said there is no such recruitment going on in the state, describing as untrue the trending advertisement.

Ukah, who urged members of the public to disregard the publication, said the online advertisement purportedly signed by the Chairman of the State Post Primary Education Board (PPEB), Chief Christiana Etaluku, calling for application from qualified candidates to apply for teaching positions in the state was the handiwork of unscrupulous elements that were out to deceive members of the public.

He advised members of the public not to fall prey to the antics of mischief makers who are out to possibly scam them adding that necessary machinery has been activated to track the source of the mischievous advertisement and get those involved to face appropriate sanctions.
