Delta Assembly Majority Leader, Onwo assures constituents of more dividends of democracy

Majority Leader of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Ferguson Onwo has assured that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, led administration in the state will continue to add value to the life of the state and its people.

Speaking while playing host to the executive and leaders of PDP in Olomoro ward, his home town in Isoko South Local Government Area, Hon Onwo said more development projects would be executed across the state before the end of the Okowa’s led administration.

The Majority Leader who enjoined Deltans to keep faith with the PDP government of the state urged the people not to be carried away with empty promises of the main opposition party in the state.

Hon Onwo stated that the Isoko nation never had it so good and expressed optimism that more dividends of democracy would be attracted to the area.

The lawmaker charged the people to remain united and never to allow agents of division and disharmony to infiltrate into them as in unity greater progress will come to the area.

Hon Onwo who represents Isoko South 11 Constituency, thanked the leadership of the Olomoro PDP ward for the visit, promising to remain a good ambassador of the community.

He said as the Majority Leader of the state legislature, the task before him is enormous and assured that with God and the support of his colleagues and constituents, he shall never be found wanting in his position as the House leader.

A major stakeholder in Isoko nation and one time President General, Isoko Development Union, IDU, Chief Iduh Amadhe commended the people of Olomoro for the act of recognition of what God has done for them as a community and urged them to support him to succeed.

The member representing Isoko South One, Hon Ovuakpoye Evivie who made a brief appearance during the visit also commended the leaders of the Olomoro PDP for the solidarity visit to their illustrious son.

The Chairman, Olomoro PDP ward, Engr Christopher Olomu said the visit was to congratulate Hon Onwo for his emergence as the Majority Leader of the State Legislature and pledged the ward continued support to his leadership.

Olomu on behalf of the people thanked all those that made the emergence of Hon Onwo the Majority Leader of the Delta State House of Assembly, particularly Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the Speaker of the State Assembly, Sherrif Oborevwori and the leadership of the party in the state.

Others who spoke in the same vein, including Chief Gabriel Erueme and High Chief Ted Umuwe, described Hon Onwo as a man of vision and integrity, promising the people’s continued loyalty and support to his quality leadership.

Also present during the visit were Mrs Mary Okolosi, PDP Women Leader, Mr Power Abada, PDP Youth Leader, High Chief Godday Jamaho, Mrs Sarah Hithler, PDP Olomoro LGA representative, Mr Esalomi Samuel, Olomoro PDP Ward Secretary, Chief Andrew Atikimi, PDP Ward PRO, Chief Festus Johnny, PDP Vice Chairman, Andrew Edewor, PDP Ward Auditor, Mr Annor Godday, PDP Ward Organizing Secretary, Comrade Ogheneovo Ovrewae, PDP Ward Assistant Secretary, Chief Okolosi Edafe, and Chief Blessing Agboro.

Dcn. Godspower Odhomi, Councilor representing Olomoro ward 9, Chief Ologbo Kingsley, Councilor representing Olomoro ward 10, Prince Enahoro Erijo, Mr Nero Umeh, and Special Assistant on Projects Monitoring to the Chairman Isoko South LGA, Chief Joseph Ayegheleme were also present at the event.
