Dafinone Celebrates Prof. Oyovbaire, Hails Scholar-Statesman’s Enduring Legacy

Senator Ede Dafinone, who represents Delta Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has extended warm birthday felicitations to renowned scholar, statesman and former Minister of Information, Professor Sam Ejite Oyovbaire, celebrating his outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s democratic development, public administration and the advancement of Delta State.

In a goodwill message to mark the occasion, Dafinone described Professor Oyovbaire as an accomplished intellectual and patriot whose lifelong commitment to scholarship, principled leadership and nation-building has earned him enduring respect across the country.

“Today, I am honoured to join your family, friends, associates and countless admirers in celebrating a distinguished scholar, eminent statesman and respected patriot, Professor Sam Ejite Oyovbaire, on the occasion of your birthday,” the senator stated.

Dafinone noted that the celebrant’s distinguished career in academia and public service has left a lasting imprint on Nigeria’s democratic evolution and political development.

“Your life’s work has been defined by intellectual excellence, principled leadership and unwavering commitment to nation-building. Through your distinguished career in academia and public service, you have made profound contributions to Nigeria’s democratic evolution, public administration and political thought, leaving an enduring legacy that continues to inspire generations of Nigerians,” he said.

The Delta Central lawmaker also commended Professor Oyovbaire’s commitment to the development of Delta State and the Okpe Kingdom, describing him as a respected voice of wisdom and moderation.

According to Dafinone, the elder statesman’s dedication to his people and his willingness to mentor emerging leaders have continued to strengthen public discourse and inspire responsible leadership.

“Beyond your national service, your steadfast commitment to the advancement of Delta State and the development of the Okpe Kingdom reflects your enduring sense of duty to your people. Your voice of wisdom, integrity and moderation has remained invaluable in shaping public discourse and mentoring emerging leaders,” he added.

The senator prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the elder statesman, wishing him good health, wisdom, peace and many more years of fulfilment and impactful service.

The senator extended warm congratulations on behalf of his family and the people of Delta Central Senatorial District, describing the birthday celebration as a fitting tribute to a man whose influence has shaped generations of public servants, scholars and political leaders.
