The election of Chief Cyril Abeye Ogodo as Chairman of the Sapele Okpe Community has drawn widespread commendation, with community leaders Hon. Fejiro Triumph and Pastor Saviour Eyo Udoh describing his emergence as the beginning of a new era of unity, development and economic progress.

In a joint congratulatory statement after the community’s chairmanship election, the duo said the outcome reflected the confidence and trust reposed in Chief Ogodo by members of the Sapele Okpe Community.

They also described the electoral process as free, fair and credible, expressing optimism that the newly elected chairman would provide purposeful leadership and strengthen peace and cohesion within the community.

Hon. Triumph congratulated Chief Ogodo on what he called a well-earned victory, expressing confidence in his leadership credentials.

“This is a well-deserved victory for our leader, a man of proven character and capacity. Chief Cyril Ogodo has earned the trust of the people through years of dedication, and I have no doubt he will lead Sapele Okpe Community with fairness and vision,” Triumph said.

He added that Chief Ogodo’s extensive network and influence would help attract investors and create fresh economic opportunities for the community.

“With his network and influence, I am confident he will attract investors and open new doors of economic opportunity for the community. I congratulate him wholeheartedly and pledge my continued support to his administration,” he stated.

Also speaking, Pastor Saviour Eyo Udoh described the election outcome as divinely inspired and a significant turning point for the community.

“Today, we celebrate not just a man, but a mandate—a mandate for unity, peace and purposeful development. Chief Cyril Abeye Ogodo’s emergence is the hand of God at work for our people,” Udoh said.

He expressed confidence that the new chairman would leverage his relationships and experience to attract meaningful investments capable of driving sustainable development in Sapele Okpe.

“I have every confidence that he will leverage his connections and influence to draw investors and meaningful development to Sapele, positioning our community for a future of shared prosperity. I believe history will remember this chapter as the beginning of remarkable progress for Sapele Okpe Community,” he added.

The two leaders said Chief Ogodo’s election represents not only a personal achievement but also a call to selfless service, urging him to prioritise peace, inclusiveness and community development throughout his tenure.

They further expressed confidence that his experience, commitment to service and leadership qualities would usher in lasting growth, harmony and prosperity for the Sapele Okpe Community.

Hon. Triumph and Pastor Udoh also prayed for divine wisdom, good health, strength and guidance for the new chairman as he assumes office, expressing hope that his administration would leave behind a legacy of meaningful achievements for both present and future generations.

They concluded by congratulating Chief Cyril Abeye Ogodo once again and wishing him a successful tenure in office.
