The people Obitugbo community in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State have honoured and celebrated two of their illustrious sons, Dr. Godwin Toritseju Ebosa and Hon. Nicholas Eyewu Efele, on their recent appointments by the Delta State Government.
The glamorous hosting which took place at Obitugbo community town hall, Obitugbo, was graced by the Olara-Aja, Council of Elders, Community Management Committee and the Community Development Association.

Dr. Godwin Ebosa was recently appointed by the Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori as a member of the Delta State Special Economic Zone (Kwale and Koko) and Hon. Nicholas Efele, as the Executive Director, Planning, Research and Statistics (PRS) on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC).
The people Obitugbo community say they truly appreciate the appointments and use the unique and historic occasion to honour and celebrate them.
The chairman of Obitugbo Community Management Committee, Mr Justice Akuyoma, while presenting souvenirs to the deserving sons of the community said the community has approved the allocation and release to Dr. Godwin Ebosa, a one-acre plot of land (waterfront) at the boundary between the Buffer Zone and Obitugbo community.
He said the community also approved the allocation and release of a one-acre plot of land to Hon. Nicholas Efele, adding that the gesture is a token from the depth of their hearts.
While listing several projects, Mr. Akuyoma described Dr. Ebosa as a bridge builder, a beacon of hope to Obitugbo Community, whose visionary leadership are human development are evident in the community.
He placed on record Dr Ebosa’s awards of scholarships to secondary school students and employment of Obitugbo Community youths through Awaritshe Nigeria Limited and attracting more development partners and investors to Obitugbo community amongst Others.
Mr Akuyoma expressed the deep appreciation of Obitugbo Community to Governor Oborevwori for finding two of their sons worthy of appointment in his administration.
Responding Dr. Godwin Ebosa, who was represented by Desmond Dudu thanked the people of Obitugbo community for their kind gesture and pledged to continue to provide more enabling opportunities for the community to grow.
For his part, Hon. Nicholas Efele while appreciating the Alara-Aja Council of Elders, Community Management Committee, Community Development Association and the entire people of Obitugbo Community promised never to let them down.
In 2016, Dr. Godwin Ebosa was conferred with the “Honorary Citizen” title as a mark of honour for his valuable and immeasurable contributions to the development of Obitugbo community while Hon. Nicholas Efele, until his appointment into the board of DESOPADEC was a member of the Obitugbo Community Management Committee.
