Top contender for the chairmanship position of Ughelli North Local Government Council in Delta State, Rtn. Fidelis Adjogbe has celebrated women worldwide on the occasion of the 2024 International Women’s Day celebration.

Adjogbe in a statement to celebrate this year’s day with the theme ‘Invest in women: Accelerate progress”, extolled the exemplary roles of women in building any nation.

He particularly commended Nigerian women for their resilience and support towards the sustenance of their homes especially at this trying time of the nation’s economy that is hitting very hard on the citizenry.

Adjogbe who hails from Evwreni Kingdom in Ughelli North urged women globally to use the opportunity of this year’s celebration to reflect on ways they can continue to positively impact the lives of their children and family as well as the development of the society.

He said, “Women are the fulcrum to which every society is sustained. I wish to humbly celebrate Ughelli North and Delta State women as we mark Women’s day today.

“I pledge to revigorate the women folk when I emerge as the next Ughelli North local government council executive chairman.

“On behalf of my family, I congratulate all women globally for they made the society we have today.

“God has blessed the women folk with more because the M.O.R.E agenda is divine.

“Once again, congratulations and happy celebration.”
