BREAKING: Baba gets Police Council confirmation as IGP

The Nigeria Police Council has confirmed Usman Alkali Baba as the Inspector General of Police.

Speaking with State House Correspondents after the Council’s meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari, Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Maigari Dingyadi, said Baba was unanimously confirmed.

Baba’s confirmation comes almost two months after his appointment was approved by President Buhari on April 6, 2021, as acting Inspector General of Police.
