Delta State Commissioner for Primary Education, Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu, has urged teachers in the state to discharge their duties effectively for the overall benefit of Deltans.

Ashibogwu stated this Asaba while addressing primary school heads and teachers during monitoring visits to Zappa Primary School, Ogbafor Primary School, and Government Model Primary School.

He told them that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori-led administration would always reward hardworking teachers as part of measures to encourage them.

The Commissioner said that the visit was to ascertain the level of commitment of the teachers in carrying out their primary assignments, adding that he was impressed with their turnout.

Ashibogwu, who was accompanied on the visits by a Deputy Director in the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Dr. Michael Emeshili, reminded them that the state government would not condone any act of indiscipline among them.

While saying that they should always dress neatly as professionals who were nation builders, Dr. Ashibogwu noted that the efforts of teachers in the life of every child were critical.

He told the teachers that the state government would prioritize their welfare at all times.

Dr. Ashibogwu, however, lauded private school owners for complementing the efforts of the state government in tackling unemployment, stressing that they had provided jobs for teaming job seekers.
