11 contestants qualify for grand finale of DESOPADEC sponsored DBS Song Of The Year Season Two

The grand finale of the DBS Warri Song Of The Year Season Two talent hunt comes up on Thursday, October 14, 2021.

In a statement the chairman of the committee, Mrs Obes Isonguyo said the eleven contestants will be slogging it out at the grand finale which holds at RCCG RMF Multipurpose Hall, Chevron Clinic Road, Edjeba, Opposite Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri beginning at ten in the morning.

Isonguya called on fans and supporters of the contestants to attend with their face masks.

She particularly commended the Managing Director of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Bashorun Askia for his commitment to the development and empowerment of the youths as demonstrated in the oil commission sponsorship of the music talent hunt.

Isonguyo, a Warri-based gospel artiste expressed optimism that the programme if sustained would greatly lead to the discovery of hidden talents and contribute in no small measure in addressing youth restiveness in the area.

Winner of the DBS Warri Song Of The Year Season Two will go home with One Million naira, second runner up, Three Hundred Thousand naira and third runner up, One Hundred Thousand naira.

While others will go home with consolation prizes.

The DBS Warri Song Of The Year Season Two is a singing competition powered by the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC).

It is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of DBS Warri to reduce youth restiveness in Delta state.
