10 tertiary students get education grant of 100 dollars each from Rotary Club of Agbarha-Otor

Ten students in various tertiary institutions across Nigeria have been presented cash of 100 dollars each by the Rotary Club of Agbarha-Otor District 9141, Nigeria.

Rotary Club of Agbarha-Otor in Ughelli North Local Area of Delta State had on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at the Ibru International Ecumenical Centre in Agbarha-Otor presented cash amounts to thirty pupils and students from ten public primary and secondary schools in the kingdom to support their education.

The ten lucky tertiary students who got the highest scores in the Tertiary Institution Scholarship Aptitude test conducted on Saturday, May 17, 2022, at the Agbarha Town are among the twenty-four natives of Agbarha-Otor Kingdom that sat for the test.

Adjedjevwe Alexander, a 100 level Sociology student at the University of Port Harcourt got the highest score of 74.

Chartered President of Rotary Club of Agbarha-Otor, Rotarian Ominimini Obiuwevbi was supported in the presentation of the 100 dollars each to the ten students by two Rotarians of the club, Joy Unueroh and Clement Udi as well as Professor Joe Oharisi, a community leader.

Rotarian Ominimini congratulated and commended the twenty-four students who took part in the Tertiary Institution Scholarship Aptitude test.

He disclosed that those who did not win the 100 dollars have another opportunity to do so as the Club very soon will organise another round.

The Chartered President added that “Even those who won today you can as well as win again. This is what Rotary does. Rotary is an organisation that is charged with the responsibility to do good for the entire world.”

It would be recalled that on Tuesday, 20th and Wednesday, 29th December 2021, hundreds of indigenes and residents of Agbarha-Otor Kingdom benefitted from free medical treatment provided by Rotary Club of Agbarha-Otor District 9141, Nigeria.

1. Adjedjevwe Alexander (74) – Sociology, 100L University of Portharcourt

2. Lucky Emmanuel (69) – Chemical Engineering, 100L Delta State University

3. Saniyo Avwerosuo Jennifer (68) – Medical Laboratory Science, 100L University of Benin

4. Ighorodje Oghenekvwe (67) – Chemical Engineering, 200L Federal University of Petroleum University Effurun

5. Okpegboro Ogheneyore Prosper (65) – Petroleum & Natural Gas Production, ND 2 Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun

6. Diamond Clinta Akpevwe (64) – SLT (Biological), 200L Delta State University

7. Adjedjevwe Favour (61) – Geology, 100L Federal University of Petroleum University Effurun

8. Ayorega Avwerosuo (60) – Electrical Engineering, 100L University of Benin

9. Edogbeji Benjamin Ochuko (60) – Architecture, HND 2 Auchi Polytechnic

10. Atatighore Justice (60) – Banking & Finance, HND 1 Ogwashi-Uku Polytechnic
