An All Progressives Congress (APC ) Leader in Delta North, Chief Emmanuel Eboh has dismissed the tenure of former chairman, Oshimili North local government Hon. Louis Ogugua Ndukwe as the worst in history and warned him to “stop playing dirty politics with the outstanding track record of Senator Ned Nwoko”
Reacting to Ndukwe’s unending media attacks on Senator Nwoko, Eboh said the former council chairman is grossly incompetent to criticise the senator’s performance.
Eboh, who once served as civil commissioner in the state, said in a statement that “the success story of Senator Nwoko as an outstanding and exemplary federal lawmaker stands too vivid and significant to trivialise” by Ndukwe.
He said, “Even as a first-time senator, Prince Nwoko had distinguished himself as one of the most respected and dutiful in the 10th Nigerian Senate.”
Eboh stated that Ndukwe’s attempt to denigrate the stewardship of Nwoko in a series of media tirades was motivated by mischief and ignorance. He noted that “Senator Nwoko exceeded his primary responsibility of making laws for the good governance of Nigeria as he had also proven excellence in executive duties through the provision of basic amenities to the citizens of Delta North Senatorial district”
According to Eboh, the political and social impact of the senator would remain a source of pride to the people.
“Distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko is generally acknowledged as a successful lawmaker. He has to his credit over 30 important bills and countless motions. He attracted roads, solar lights, water and schools to Delta North communities. He secured vocational training in China for a dozen Delta North youths.
“Senator Nwoko has etched his name in gold with the renewed quest for Anioma state creation with all the expected advantages.
” In 2018, long before he became a senator, he spent over 100 million Naira personal funds to rehabilitate the Onicha Ugbo/ Idumuje Ugboko/ Ewohimi road. Today, he is collaborating with the NDDC and the federal government to find a permanent solution to the road.
“What did Ndukwe achieve when he had the opportunity to be a local government chairman? Nothing. He ran away to the UK like a prodigal son for almost 6 years and squandered the electoral mandate for cheap personal gains. He should take lessons from the current occupant of the office in Oshimili North. Ndukwe betrayed those who supported him including his political leaders and benefactors.
“Whether the reckless attacks on Prince Nwoko are from Ndukwe or externally orchestrated, the plots would fail”
In 2027, Eboh said, “Ndukwe is free to dream”, but cautioned that “there is no vacancy as distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko stands unstoppable by divine power.
