The Deputy Chief Whip of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Solomon Ighrakpata says the greatest gift expected from Deltans to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on his 62nd birthday anniversary, is their sustained support for peace, unity, good governance and progress of the state.

Speaking on the occasion of the 62nd birthday anniversary of the governor, Hon Ighrakpata stated that Dr Okowa has shown great leadership qualities in every position he found himself and had never relented in giving the right direction to achieving results.

The Lawmaker stated that the 62nd birthday anniversary celebration of the Governor was another milestone not only to Okowa’s family but to the government and people of Delta state as it affords all another opportunity to X-ray the life of a man who has done so much to promote the work of God and growth of humanity.

Hon Ighrakpata who is the Chairman, House Committee on Special Duties, emphasized that Dr Okowa had continued to build legacies that would outlive many generations, saying that the smart policies of his administration have brought series of positive development to the state’s economy.

The Deputy Chief Whip stated that Okowa’s legacy projects across the state speak volumes of a man with a heart of gold and a prudent manager of resources, maintaining that his vision for a Stronger Delta had placed the state on paths of steady progress.

The Deputy Chief Whip explained further that the wealth creation and several other empowerment programs of Okowa’s government have raised many homes above the poverty line, expressing optimism that more progress would be recorded in the state in the remaining part of the administration.

Hon Ighrakpata on behalf of himself, family, friends and constituents congratulated Dr Okowa on his 62nd birthday anniversary and prayed for more of God’s blessings upon the Governor and his family.

The Uvwie Lawmaker enjoined Deltans to keep supporting the Governor in his strides for sustained infrastructural revolution in the state as well as his commitment for enhanced economic fortunes of the people.

Hon Ighrakpata appreciated the Governor for all the government projects across communities in Uvwie and expressed the hope that all the ongoing projects would be completed in record time and award of new ones in line with the development policies of the administration.

He assured the Governor of sustainable peace in Uvwie as it is only in an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity that development can thrive, stressing that the hospitality of the people of Uvwie remains among the best in the state.
