A prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) leader in Delta North, Chief Emmanuel Eboh, has faulted former local government chairman, Hon. Louis Ndukwe, over his recent comments asserting that Senator Ned Nwoko would not return to the Senate in 2027.
Describing Ndukwe’s remarks as baseless and misinformed, Chief Eboh said the former council boss had clearly spoken beyond his influence. “Ndukwe is an ordinary individual; he has no power to predict the future.
He cannot play God. Senator Nwoko’s political destiny is not in his hands,” he stated.
According to Chief Eboh, Senator Nwoko has shown exceptional commitment to legislative duties and the development of Delta North.
He maintained that the senator’s performance and advocacy have earned him broad respect and support among constituents.
“Contrary to the wild claims made by Ndukwe, Senator Nwoko has surpassed expectations.
He is among the senators with the highest number of bills and motions in the National Assembly.
Beyond lawmaking, he has facilitated road projects, solar lighting initiatives, water supply projects, and empowerment programs across multiple communities. Over a thousand beneficiaries have been trained in skills acquisition, with a particular focus on youth impacted. He has also sustained periodic medical outreach programs,” Eboh said.
He added that a group of youth leaders from the nine local government areas of Delta North are currently preparing for specialised vocational training in China, made possible through Senator Nwoko’s networks and initiatives.
“These are verifiable achievements, not empty rhetoric,” he emphasised.
On the Anioma state creation effort, Chief Eboh said Senator Nwoko deserves praise, not attacks.
He noted that the senator has continued to champion the identity and aspirations of the Anioma people at great personal sacrifice.
“His commitment aligns with the vision of past icons such as Sir Dennis Osadebay, Senator Nosike Ikpo, and Professor Obi Chike Edozien. Senator Nwoko is pursuing this cause with sincerity for the benefit of current and future generations,” he said.
Chief Eboh also rebuked Ndukwe for making comments about the senator’s family life, describing it as “an irresponsible and idle intrusion into personal matters.”
He urged the people of Delta North to rally behind Senator Nwoko, stressing that the senator remains a true reflection of their collective hopes and aspirations.
