Warri Rebirth Initiative condoles Okere Urhobo Kingdom over demise of Okumagba II

Members of Warri Rebirth Initiative in Delta State have consoled the Chiefs and people of Okere Urhobo Kingdom on the passage of the Orosuen, Okumagba II with a call for the return of peace and development in Warri metropolis.

Chairman of Warri Rebirth Initiative, Kes Agbosa who led members on the condolence visit to the Palace on Tuesday told the Otota of Okere Urhobo Kingdom and other chiefs that Okumagba the second was a man of character and integrity whose vision for peace and unity should not be extinguished.

Mr Agbosa while tracing the events leading to the establishment of the Warri Rebirth Initiative hailed the harmonious co-existence of people in the area noting that things took a drastic turn which threatened the conviviality that the people used to enjoy.

He added that the Orosuen Emmanuel Okumagba encouraged the vision of Warri Rebirth Initiative and looked forward to a time when the people of the area will live as one like old times.

For his part, the Otota and regent of Okere Urhobo Kingdom, Chief Gold Eburu while receiving the Warri Rebirth Initiative delegation thanked them for coming to commiserate with the people of Okere Urhobo at their time of sorrow and prayer God that future visits will be in better circumstances.

He formally invited members of Warri Rebirth Initiative to the rites of the passage of Okumagba the second scheduled to begin in early October this year.

Commenting on the need to restore peace and harmony in Warri Metropolis, the Otota of Okere Urhobo Kingdom who is a retired Army Brigadier said the group has enormous work to do in building trust and rebuilding the atmosphere of friendship that existed among the various tribes in the area.
He assured Warri Rebirth Initiative of the support of the Okere Urhobo Kingdom towards the success of their vision.
