Rev. Francis Ejiroghene Waive Campaign Council 2027, has said that Rt. Hon. Waive did not base his campaign in the last election on turn by turn basis, saying that the decision on who to represent the good people of Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency lies with the electorate and not any pressure group.

Chief Bunor Agbomedarho, Director General, Rev. Francis Ejiroghene Waive Campaing council 2027, made the call in a telephone chat with our correspondent while reacting to the call made political pressure group, under the aegis ofthe Consultative Forum for Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal ConstituencyUghelli North, and Udu Federal Constituency (CF-U3).

The group had called on leaders and residents of the constituency to resist the reported third-term ambition of Hon. (Rev.) Francis Ejiroghene Waive ahead of the 2027 general elections, alleging that allowing him to return will amount to denying others the opportunity of going to the green Chambers.

In a swift reaction to their claim, Chief Agbomedarho said, “Our immediate reaction is that Rev. Waive has never campaigned based on turn by turn. We have always campaigned based on competence or lack of it. When you have a good legislator, you keep him for as long as he can function for you. If you have a bad one please remove him or her now.”

He emphasised that Rev. Waive has done exceedingly well with physical development projects executed in 30 of te 32 wards in the federal constituency. “Physical development projects such as classroom blocs, solar street lights, transformers, name it. And he is always available to the people.

“The major work of a law maker are law making. Oversight and representation. In these three departments, he has exceeded 80%. Anybody is free to contest the election. It is an election. Then the populace has the right to choose the best by way of voting. “

He reminded the group that the constitution does not limit legislative tenure, saying, “So him like every other person has right to contest. We have people in Delta State who are doing their 7th tenure now. There are people who are doing their 3rd and 4th term now and those people don’t have more projects than Rev, Waive. Apart from that, Rev. Waive is a unifier.”
