Uwheru-born, Canadian-based medical practitioner, philanthropist and politician, Prof Rukevwe Ugwumba (Nee Akpedeye) has predicted victory for All Progressives Congress, APC candidates from the presidency to State Assembly in the forthcoming general elections in Delta State.

Prof Ugwumba, a member of Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council and Deputy Director of Health, Delta APC Campaign Council made the prediction when the campaign trail of the Deputy Senate President and APC gubernatorial candidate for Delta state, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, CFR, berthed at the Uwheru ward in Ughelli North Local Government Area.

The professor of medicine and family health, said the visit of Senator Omo-Agege and his team to Uwheru in continuation of the APC ward-to-ward campaign across Delta state, was a mere formality as the entire Uwheru kingdom had since resolved to deliver APC five over five in appreciation of the emergence of an indigene, Barr Spencer Ohwofa, as the APC candidate for the State Assembly election for Ughelli North 2 Constituency.

Prof Ugwumba stated that Deltans are in for a more significant and brighter future, stressing that no part of the state will be left out in the edge agenda of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege as Governor of Delta State.

The amiable daughter of the late legal luminary, Chief Lucky Akpedeye and Princess of Uwheru kingdom, maintained that Delta has all it takes to be ahead of others in the comity of states in terms of human capital and infrastructural development.

Ugwumba who is the Team Lead and Director of APC South-South Support Groups for PCC emphasized that the Agege-Osanebi ticket is the way forward and urged Deltans to deliver them with their votes.

She also solicited massive votes for Ahmed Bola Tinubu and all other candidates of the APC for Senate, House of Representatives and State Assembly elections, even as she commended the people of Uwheru for embracing light over darkness.

The one-time Special Adviser to former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan on health matters, also expressed gratitude to Deltans for choosing the part of progress, assuring that the state will witness a massive infrastructural revolution with Omo- Agege at the helm of affairs in Delta State.

Prof Ugwumba promised to continue to mobilize the people to collect their PVCs as weapons needed for the task ahead, which is to deliver APC 5 over 5.

The female political strategist listed the construction of Uruevwere road to Ophororo, Uphriche, Ogode, Owarovwo and Agadama, the construction of Urede-Orere road to link Ughelli North and South and the construction of a modern Health Center at Agadama to serve all the villages as some immediate needs of the people.

Ugwumba also drew attention to some other areas including, provision of at least five transformers in the community, extension of street lights to Ehere, Urede and Port Avwon, completion of abandoned six blocks of classrooms at Agadama Secondary School and the high level of insecurity in Uwheru, saying that Fulani herdsmen have sacked the people from their farmland.

She, however, expressed optimism that the APC-led government will address the challenges, hence the need for the people to deliver them at the poll.

A leader of the party in Uwheru, Chief Simeon Ohwofa, the APC State Assembly candidate, Barr Spencer Ohwofa and others who spoke commended the people for turning out in large numbers to welcome the APC campaign machinery to the community.

They said all would work for the victory of APC candidates in the general elections.
