Tributes galore as Pa. Bob Atuirene Omagbemi is laid to rest in Orugbo town in Warri

The remains of Pa. Bob Atuirene Omagbemi have been laid to rest at his country home Orugbo town in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Pa. Omagbemi passed on at the age of 72 on Tuesday, June 20, 2021, in the United States of America.

Among dignitaries who graced the colourful ceremony include Chief Solomon Arenyeka, Chief Mrs. Ajuya, Chief Emmanuel Amgbaduba, Hon. George Ekpempolo, Dr. Ambassador Shedrack Agediga, Barr. Richard Omare, Mrs. Judgina Evah, Hon. Amafini Akemotubo, Hon. Andrew Igban, Hon. Shola Wilkie, Hon. Freeman Fregene, Barr. Austin Oboroegbeyi, Elder Edomi Igbiaye, Hon. Anino (Ugborodo ward), Dr. Jeffree Wilkie, and Captain David. Omatseye.

The burial arrangement began on Thursday, October 5, 2023, with a Service of Songs at his residence on No 20 Eworitsemogba Street, off Poultry Road, Egbokodo Itsekiri in Warri South Local Government Area.

On Friday, October 6, 2023, his body was conveyed from Nigerian Navy Mortuary, Warri to his home town Orugbo in Warri South Local Government Area for interment with a brief stopover at his residence on No 20 Eworitsemogba Street, off Poultry Road, Egbokodo Itsekiri in Warri South Local Government Area.

Saturday, October 7, 2023, was for traditional rites and entertainment of guests at Rice Farm on Esisi Road, Warri.

Chief Arenyeka and eminent personalities at the occasion described Pa. Omagbemi as a man of integrity and a goal-getter who believed in the common good of his people.

According to them, Pa. Omagbemi lived an exemplary lifestyle and prayed God to grant him eternal rest.

His son-in-law, Mr Tuoyo Igbiaye in chat with NewsNet Nigeria said the burial of his father-in-law as a huge success especially with the clement weather.

“My departed father-in-law, Pa. Bob Atuirene Omagbemi was an amiable person, calm personality who never wanted trouble and takes life very gently.

“I will always remeber the love he showed to his children particularly to his daughter, the one I got married to. He got a pet name for his daughter and anytime he comes around he was always full of life.

“I urged the children to take solace in the good legacies their father left behind for them and for all of us because there is always an end to life,” said Igbiaye
