Nassarawa Amazons shot-stopper, Rita Akharekor, has pitched tents with Moroccan top-flight side Association Municipal Laâyoune de Football féminin, AMLFF, on a short stint.

The former Bayelsa Queens and Sunshine Queens safe hands will be banking on her rich experience garnered from playing in the Nigerian Women’s Football League to help her thrive in the Northern African side.

Akarekor, a part of coach Christopher Danjuma’s 21-woman squad for the 2018 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in France, expressed optimism ahead of the new season when quizzed by Jay Sports.

The first foreign goalkeeper to be signed by AMLFF also assured fans of giving her best whenever called on to man the goal.

The 2022/2023 El Botola Pro will commence on the 16 of October 2022 and AMLFF will be hoping to dethrone defending champions, AS FAR.
