Senator Nwaoboshi: Sabotaging President Tinubu’s Efforts to Strengthen APC?

Peter Nwaoboshi

As the All Progressives Congress (APC) works tirelessly to broaden its political base and restore its footing across the nation, particularly in Delta State, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi’s actions and utterances raise questions about his commitment to these goals. Rather than embracing unity and progress, his divisive approach appears to undermine the strides being made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other dedicated party members.

The APC at the federal level, under the visionary leadership of President Tinubu, has made it a priority to welcome formidable and result-oriented politicians into its fold. A clear example is the party’s readiness to collaborate with Distinguished Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko, a serving senator whose political clout, national influence, and ability to galvanize support make him an invaluable asset.

However, Senator Nwaoboshi, a former senator with a track record of electoral defeats in Delta North, seems more concerned with holding on to a crumbling legacy of leadership than fostering the unity needed to rejuvenate the party. Instead of extending a hand of fellowship to a distinguished figure like Senator Nwoko, who has consistently advanced the interest of the people through legislative excellence, he resorts to rhetoric that serves only to deepen divisions and weaken the APC in Delta North.

Electoral Failures Under Nwaoboshi’s Watch

Under Nwaoboshi’s leadership, the APC in Delta North has suffered a string of humiliating defeats. The party’s poor showing in the polls is a direct reflection of a leadership style that prioritizes personal ambitions over collective progress. Rather than building the party, Senator Nwaoboshi’s tenure has been marred by stagnation and a lack of strategic direction.

In stark contrast, Senator Ned Munir Nwoko has demonstrated a deep commitment to addressing critical national issues, from malaria eradication to recycling waste and promoting sustainable energy solutions. His leadership in the Senate has not gone unnoticed by the presidency, as his motions and bills have consistently garnered attention and support. Welcoming such a personality into the APC fold is not only strategic but vital for the party’s future success in Delta North.

Time to Embrace Change

Senator Nwaoboshi should recognize the winds of change blowing through the APC. His role should be that of a statesman, ready to welcome Senator Nwoko, a serving senator with the influence and drive needed to reverse the party’s fortunes in Delta North. Anything less is a disservice to President Tinubu’s efforts to strengthen the APC.

By attempting to cling to an outdated hierarchy and resisting progress, Senator Nwaoboshi is doing more harm than good. His actions risk alienating party faithfuls and weakening the APC’s chances of reclaiming its lost glory in Delta North. It is time for him to set aside personal ambitions and prioritize the collective good of the party.

The Path Forward

The APC in Delta North stands at a crossroads. It can either embrace the visionary leadership and inclusive politics that Senator Nwoko brings or remain trapped in the cycle of defeat and division under Nwaoboshi. The choice is clear: unity, progress, and victory lie in welcoming Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko to the fold.

President Tinubu’s efforts to build a stronger APC must not be sabotaged by outdated leadership. Senator Nwaoboshi must rise above personal pride, acknowledge his shortcomings, and prepare to work hand in hand with Senator Nwoko. Together, they can lead the APC to new heights in Delta North and beyond.

Office of Senator Ned Munir Nwoko
