Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore has said that his recordings and that of other activists taken at the Federal High Court, Abuja, venue for Monday’s resumed trial of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, were deleted before they were released by security agents who arrested them.
Sowore said he was released alongside others at the Federal Secretariat Police Station, where they were kept after few hours.
He said: “They have just released us. They dragged, harassed and beat us.
“They took us to the Federal Secretariat Police Station. I told them that they have no right to arrest me.
“I have a right to observe the trial of Nnamdi Kanu. They took our cards and deleted all recordings.”
