The Progressive Anioma Youth Association will hold its 2nd Youth Summit on Friday, September 11, 2026, with the immediate past governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, billed for investiture as the association’s Grand Patron.
The summit, themed “INFORMATION TIME,” will take place at Davis Event Centre, Anwai Road, Asaba, Delta State, beginning at 11am prompt.
The high point of the event will be the official investiture of Senator Okowa as Grand Patron, in what the organisers said would be a significant moment in the association’s activities.
The summit is expected to attract Anioma youths, political leaders, traditional rulers, community stakeholders and other distinguished guests for discussions and engagement on issues affecting the people and the future of the region.
The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, will serve as Chairman of the Occasion, while the Asagba of Asaba, Prof. Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge, will be the Royal Father of the Day.
Chief Engr. Hyacinth Uzu-Fela Enuha, Chief Executive Officer of Cakasa (Nigeria) Co. Ltd., is the Father of the Day, while Rt. Hon. Pst. Joan Onyemaechi, popularly known as Ada Anioma, will serve as Mother of the Day.
The keynote address will be delivered by Chief Prof. Mrs Josephine Ngozi Mokwunyei.
The summit is being convened by Amb. Mayor Chinedu Enujeko, with Comr. Chris Odhomo serving as Chairman of the Planning Committee and Comr. Chekwume Okonji as Secretary.
The organisers said the gathering would provide a platform for youth engagement, information sharing, leadership development and strengthening of unity among Anioma youths.
The September 11 event is expected to culminate in the formal investiture of Senator Okowa as Grand Patron of the Progressive Anioma Youth Association.
