A group under the aegis of Niger Delta Progressive Women Worldwide (NDPW) has commended Senator Ned Nwoko for his laudable achievements within one year and five months in the National Assembly.

According to the National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Miebi Andakuro, Senator Nwoko is a man seeking the good of his people, using his influence and contacts to better the lot of his constituency.

The woman leader said Senator Nwoko’s vibrancy, connections, contacts and good relationship with his colleagues in the National Assembly are paving the way for his breakthroughs and success stories.

She said, “Since his emergence as the Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Ned Nwoko has been making everything possible for the betterment and upliftment of his constituency,” saying he knows his onions and the needs of his people.

She noted, “Senator Nwoko has initiated different empowerment programmes which are aimed at uplifting the living standards of his people.

“Senator Nwoko looks at every circumstance and takes a bold step towards achieving a positive outcome. He pushes his way through and gets what he wants.

“He has challenged norms, pushing boundaries in ways that have left an undeniable mark in his constituency, Niger Deltans and Nigerians as a whole.

“Senator Nwoko is known for always going for “Nothing Less”, always thinking big, with an ambitious vision that extends far beyond his little beginning.

“He is good at taking risks and impacting society meaningfully against all odds which eventually ends gloriously.

“Senator Nwoko”s leadership was first noticed when he took up the decision to pursue a legal battle in the United Kingdom, very unusual, which brought him to prominence.

“He started politics in Nigeria representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency from 1999-2003. During the said period, he advocated causes that were ignored by others. He challenged the debt burden of the country.

“Senator Nwoko is a humanitarian, particularly in his ongoing campaign to eradicate Malaria in Africa. His dedication to the cause reflects his willingness to tackle issues that are considered intractable.

“He has also shown interest in the promotion of sports with his Sports University. His pursuits for programmes and initiatives for his constituents resonate with his leadership prowess.

She listed the Senator’s achievements in the national assembly within the period under review.

She identified a bill to upgrade the Federal College of Education Asaba to the Federal University of Technology, move the link road from Oko in Oshimili South through to Patani, agitation for the Okpai Power Step Down Project and complete the Ogwashi-Uku dam project.

She described Senator Nwoko as an achiever, an embodiment of true leadership through his diverse pursuits and unflinching resolve to confront and dismantle the barriers that restrict progress.

She said, “From his achievement as a lawyer and politics to his humanitarian gestures, philanthropic initiatives and programmes are embodiment to his relentless ambition to take his constituents, Niger Deltans and Nigerians out of the woods.”
