The Executive Committee of the Sapele Local Government Area Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has ratified the expulsion of the former state Deputy Chairman of the party  Mr Elvis Ayomanor.

Recall that the Executive Committee of APC Ward 7 in Sapele Local Government Area, where Ayomanor belongs had in a letter dated 14th September 2021, expelled him following a petition dated 6th September 2021 and received by the Ward Committee from Mr Tedeye T. Abel, a member of the party in the Ward.

Following a thorough investigation by a disciplinary committee that looked into various allegations against him, Ayomanor was subsequently recommended for expulsion based on strict compliance with the provisions of article 21, paragraph B (i) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) constitution (as amended) that was unanimously endorsed by the Ward 7 Sapele Chairman and 25 other ward executive members.

Consequently, he was expelled over anti-party activities, disobedience to lawful directives of the party and for conducts aimed at bringing the party to disrepute and public opprobrium as well as for disrupting the peaceful, lawful and efficient organisation of the party in Ward 7.

The Sapele Local Government Executive Committee ratification of Elvis Ayomanor’s expulsion was upon receipt of the ward 7 Disciplinary Committee report which was extensively deliberated in an emergency meeting convened by the Sapele Local Government chapter Executive Committee led by its chairman Mr Erubasa Friday on October 11th, 2021 at the Local Government party Secretariat.

Below is the statement ratifying the expulsion of Elvis Ayomanor by the Sapele Local Government Chapter Executive members.

Via a letter dated Wednesday, 6th October 2021, from the Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress, Sapele Ward 7, we were notified of a petition dated 6th day of September 2021, against Mr Elvis Ayomanor, a member of our party, in Ward 7, Sapele Local Government Area, and we were also further notified of the decision of the Disciplinary Committee constituted by the ward Executive Committee to examine the petition/complaint.

Upon receiving the letter referred to in the preceding paragraph which was accompanied with the detailed/decision of the Disciplinary Committee duly constituted, an Emergency meeting of the Local Government Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress for Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, was held today 11th October, 2021, at the Local Government Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress and upon thoroughly reviewing the report/decision of the Disciplinary Committee and ratification of the decision expelling Mr. Elvis Ayomanor from the All Progressives Congress by the Executive Committee of Sapele ward 7, we the members of the Sapele Local Government Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress, hereby confirm the ratification of the decision expelling Mr. Elvis Ayomanor from the All Progressives Congress by the Executive Committee of Sapele ward 7 and further adopt and ratify the decision of the Disciplinary Committee expelling Mr. Elvis Ayomanor from the All Progressives Congress.

Accordingly, Mr Elvis Ayomanor remains expelled from the All Progressives Congress.
