A 2023 governorship aspirant in Delta State, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, says Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has not endorsed any aspirant.

Gbagi, a former Minister of Education (State) said this today Wednesday while speaking at the annual Press Week Lectures/Award ceremony of the Warri Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, which held the Casa De Pedro Hotel, Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area of the state.

Reacting to media reports that the governor has endorsed the likes of Hon. Michael Diden a.k.a, Ejele and Askia Ogeh, Gbagi  said, “Governor Okowa did not endorse anybody. I can tell you that”.

He noted that both Ejele and Askia were only on political consultations for their ambitions and not that the governor endorsed them.

Olorogun Gbagi disclosed that he is the only governorship aspirant in the state as at today that has bought his governorship Expression of Interest and Nomination forms to contest as governor of Delta State.

According to him, “As at today, am the first Deltan seeking to be governor that has bought nomination form.”

Gbagi who blamed journalists for the decay in the country urged them to do their jobs professionally without bias.
