2023: UPU confident of Amori’s victory

The Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, has said that Senator Ighoyota Amori deserves to represent the Urhobo nation in the Senate in 2023.

President-General of the apex Urhobo socio-cultural organisation, Olorogun Moses Taiga, stated this on Monday, March 21, 2022, at his Olomu residence in Ughelli South Local Government Area, while praying for the success of Amori in the senatorial primary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, scheduled for May 14, 2022, and in the 2023 general elections.

Olorogun Taiga, who was supported in praying for Senator Amori said, “You can carry on with your ambition, the entire Urhobo nation and UPU are behind you.

“All the good works that you have been doing for Urhobo as a nation, the time for you to reap the dividend has come. With the full backing of our national leader, Chief James Ibori, Amori will get overwhelming support to represent Delta Central.

“The time to reap of the good fruit that Amori has planted over the years has come. When you get to Abuja always remember your people just as you have been doing. It will be well with you.”

Senator Amori who was accompanied by former Governor James Ibori and other top leaders from Delta Central to formally intimate the Olorogun Taiga led UPU, restated his commitment to defending the Urhobo course at all times.

Amori reminded the UPU of several times he had sacrificed his personal interest in order to stand firmly behind the unity of the Urhobo nation stressing that he cannot afford to do less when he gets to the Senate in 2023.
