Two state officials of Delta APC resign membership

Two state officers of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State have resigned their membership and positions in the party.

The two officials are Sylvester Imonina, acting State Publicity Secretary and Precious Enuenweayoi, acting State Welfare Secretary of the party.

Both of them made this known in their resignation letters dated Tuesday, January 18, 2022, and addressed to the State Chairman, All Progressives Congress, Delta State, through their Ward chairmen.

Imonina from APC Isoko North Ward 11 in his letter said, “Due to the state of affairs of All Progressives Congress, Delta State Chapter, I, Ogheneluemu Sylvester Imonina herein resign my membership of the Party and my position as the acting State Publicity Secretary.”

While Enuenweayoi from Ward 10 said, “The reason for the above, is to enable me pursue my political career elsewhere.”

A dependable source told NewsNet Nigeria that Sylvester Imonina was sighted on Tuesday morning at the Delta State House of Assembly, where he had a meeting with the Speaker, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, and hours later he tendered his resignation letter from the APC.

The source went to further to say that when Imonina was confronted about it he denied but his resignation afterwards confirmed their initial suspicion.
