Police parade suspected killers of Naval officer in Ondo State

Three out of the six suspected killers of a naval officer, Mr Akingbohunmi at Ido-Ani in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, have been paraded.

The suspects Ayo Agogo, Oyinbo Adida and one Francis were paraded on Thursday by the Ondo State Police Command.

Three others were said to be currently at large.

The Ondo State Police Command had on Tuesday given an insight into how the naval officer attached to the Navy Secondary School in Imeri, Ido-Ani was killed on Monday.

Police spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, while confirming the incident said, a 6-man mob led by one Mr Oyibo led the onslaught against the deceased naval officer.

Mrs Odunlami-Omisanya disclosed that the news of the death of the naval officer was reported by a friend of the deceased, one Sunday Olaoluwa of Iyayu Quarters in Ido-Ani.

The Police image maker also noted that due to an altercation that arose from a minor motorcycle-pedestrian accident, the suspects who are now at large used iron and plank to beat the victim.

The victim was taken to the General Hospital in Ido-Ani where he was confirmed dead.
