Members of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State have been charged to remain steadfast and loyal to the party as there are better days for the party.

The Coordinator of the PDP in Udu Local Government Area, Comrade Johnbull Kenairu gave the charge during the general meeting of Udu Ward One of the PDP at Otor Udu.

Members of the PDP in Udu Ward One drawn from Otor-Udu and Oghior communities converged at Otor Udu to strategies on the way forward as they rebuild the party after the recent wave of defection.

Addressing the leaders and members of the PDP in Udu Ward One, the Coordinator of the party in Udu Local Government Area, Comrade Johnbull Kenairu, who was full of enthusiasm, commended the party faithful in the area for their loyalty in the face of the recent challenge that befell party in the State.

Comrade Kenairu noted that the attendance of people at the meeting was an attestation that the PDP is much alive in Udu locality.

The Udu PDP Coordinator urged the party stakeholders not to loose faith over the present state of the party noting that it is on the rise and those who work for the party would be the ones to benefit from its dividends.

The Udu PDP Coordinator said Udu people should count themselves lucky as their son, Chief Sylvester Dugbo is an Ex-officio of the South South leadership of the PDP led by Chief Dan Orbih.

According to him, with Chief Dugbo in the helms of affairs of the PDP, the Udu people will repay the party with their loyalty and massive votes in 2027.

For Dr Samuel Otogbolo and Comrade Igho Onobrayekpeya, PDP is the only political party they have been loyal to since the return of democracy and not ready to abandon it.

They enjoined other members of the PDP not to weaver in their loyalty no matter the pressures from canvassers from the opposition party.

Other leaders of the party including, Pastor Moses Bekaren, Evang Markson Koyaya, Presley Onobrayekpeya and Matthew Salami said the present configuration of the party is making the once neglected persons to gain political relevance at the grassroots positing that it would propel the party to victory come 2027.

Members of the PDP in Udu Ward One during the meeting passed a vote of confidence in the Comrade Kenairu-led executive as some persons decamped from the All Progressive Congress, APC in the Ward to the PDP.
