Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has rescheduled the dates for the conduct of its primaries for various positions in the 2023 general elections.

NewsNet Nigeria authoritatively gathered that the party’s primaries will now hold as follows: House of Assembly, Wednesday, May 18; House of Representatives, Friday, May 20; Senate, Saturday, May 21 and Governorship, Monday, May 23, 2022.

The earlier dates for the primaries were: House of Assembly, Saturday, May 7; House of Representatives, Thursday, May 12; Senate, Saturday, May 14; Governorship, Saturday, May 21 and Presidential, Saturday/Sunday, May 28/29, 2022.

Meanwhile, the National Working Committee (NWC) of PDP has approved the postponement of the party’s Local Government Congress earlier scheduled for Thursday, May 5, 2022, to elect one LGA national delegate.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary Hon. Debo Ologunagba, in a statement, said a new date for the LGA Congress will be announced in due course adding that the NWC regrets any inconveniences the postponement may have caused.
