The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, Abe 1, says his kingdom remains detribalised in fostering peaceful co-existence among non-natives for sustainable development.

Abe 1 stated this on Tuesday when he hosted the Onu Igala, Delta State, and his people at his palace in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area.

The Uvwie monarch told the Onu Igala, Delta State, that the Uvwie people, who are very hospitable, are happy to have non-natives live with them, bearing in mind that great towns and cities across the globe, including Lagos, were developed by strangers.

He commended the commitment of the Onu Igala, Delta State and his people to be part of ensuring the security and safety of their host communities.

He envisaged working together with Abe 1 in strengthening the relationship and promoting the well-being of Igala people in Uvwie Kingdom.

The Onu Igala, Delta State, commended the Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, for his impactful leadership, particularly in infrastructural development and security, despite what he described as the state’s multi-complex cities.

The visit featured brief dance displays by women of Igala and their Uvwie counterparts.
