Osanebi snatches DPV scribe from Okowa to APC

The main political support group with which Governor Ifeanyi Okowa rode to power in 20215 christened Delta Political Vanguard (DPV) has its General Secretary, Chief Wellington Monday Oyiso to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Oyiso also resigned his appointment as Senior Special Assistant (Political) to Okowa and withdrew his membership in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

His message to the leadership of DPV announcing his resignation as the General Secretary of the group reads, “The National Chairman, Delta Political Vanguard” Honorable Michael Diden’ I wish to announce my resignation as the General Secretary of Delta Political Vanguard for Okowa with immediate effect. And also withdraw my membership from the body. I thank you for the opportunity given me to serve the body as the National Secretary for over 7 years now. My decision to resign and withdraw my membership from the body is private and personal to me. I wish you well as you continue to lead the group going forward. In his letter of resignation as Senior Special Assistant (Political) to Governor Okowa, Chief Oyiso, who contested the Delta State House Assembly primary for Ethiope West Constituency for the 2023 general elections wrote, “I wish to tender my resignation as senior special assistance (political) to the governor of Delta.

“Reasons for my resignation is private and personal to me after due consultations with my family. this resignation takes effect from today being 5th August, 2022.

“With this medium I sincerely thank you for the opportunity given to me to serve in your administration as SSA political till 5th August Friday 2022. I wish you and your government the best.”

In a phone chat with NewsNet Nigeria, Chief Wellington Monday Oyiso confirmed the development saying he has left the PDP and the Okowa government for good.

On Friday shortly after Oyiso dumped the PDP he was warmly welcomed into the APC by the deputy governorship candidate of the party in Delta State, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi.
