THE ENDSARS PROTEST: CONSEQUENCE OF A FAILED NATION

The DELIBERATE demoralization of the youths by politicians through initiations into thuggery, drug indulgence, provision of arms of all sorts, and positioning some of such into government while others are left hanging is a critical underpinning of what we are witnessing today. Most of these youths so used are graduates. There are other youths who would not engage in those evil acts and struggling to make a way but there is just no way for them.

The Police and other security agencies just determined to criminalise the youths regardless of the fact that most of them are decent citizens. Police has become the greatest nightmare to all citizens. The arrest at will torment their victims to stupor and force false statements on them to sign. The police are easily bought by money and power to criminalise innocent citizens. They are lords unto themselves and end of the law unto themselves.

Over the years our youths have been used, dumped, intimidated into all sorts of occultic practices, denied their rights to quality education, good health care, freedom of association, freedom of speech, freedom of meaningful gainful employment; and the government policies have systematically frustrated entrepreneurship. They thought things would get better but it never did.

The youths are stagnated also as a result of all pressing challenges from starting a family because they don’t have the means to foot the expenses of marriage. Worse still because majority of the girls have been procured by political money bags. To worsen the matter we have people like Pastor David Ibiyeomie telling the young men who are not married at 35, that they are irresponsible.

The youths are frustrated and the future looks, Bleeker. I am greatly delighted that they have woken up to reality; to take the bull by the horn. Nigeria must be liberated from governments of neo-colonialism. I agree with the youths to ENDSARS, ENDSWAT, ENDCURRUPTION, ENDPOLICEBRUTALITY. These ENDSARS protests have shown that the youths are capable of managing the affairs of the nation. The protests are well organised, highly civil, and economically well structured. This is the beginning of a new Nigeria that should be sealed with a change of name. Some of the youths have paid the ultimate price by losing their lives. These are the heroes of freedom and true nationalism. The must be immortalised.

To our youths, receive more strength and grace to fight unto victory. Heaven has your back. As a mother, I bless you all. As a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I bless you all. As a politician of Christian ethics, I say take the Batton of governance, take dominion and rule to make Nigeria realise her place of honour in the comity of nations.
