Omo-Agege receives PDP defectors to APC in Delta

As political activities begin to gather momentum towards the 2023 general elections, a number of members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Oviri-Ogor, Upper Afiesere and other communities in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta state have defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Receiving the PDP defectors from Otogor, Edjekota-Ogor and Oviri-Ogor on Sunday, November 17, 2021, at Oviri-Ogor town hall, the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege said all members of the APC have equal rights and privileges irrespective of when they joined the party.

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, who is also the leader of the APC South-South leader stressed that the party remained committed to treating all members equally and commended the President General of Oviri-Ogor community Chief Monday Otobrise for his efforts in winning supporters to the APC adding that politics was a game of numbers.

He solicited support from all members to take the message of the APC to others and help to increase membership of the party.

At Upper Afiesere, the Deputy Senate President also received people from 5 units under ward 2 and 6 Upper into the APC.

In their addresses, Prince Etareri Okorodudu, the oldest man and Pa. David Oporare among others commended the Deputy President of The Senate for the honour done them by receiving the new political entrants to the party.

They commended the Senator for attracting numerous projects to Delta State and other parts of the country.

Speaking with them, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege appealed to the people to continue to preach the message of the APC and win others into the party.

The Deputy Senate President told the people that he remained resolute and determined in ensuring that the people have a better life.

The defectors from other political parties came from Oviri-Ogor and Upper Afiesere in Ughelli North Local Government Area are among the latest recently received into the APC in Delta State.
