Okowa’s aide, Adjogbe takes relief items to flood victims in Evwreni, Unenurhie

Senior Special Assistant (Political) to the governor of Delta State, Hon. Fidelis  Adjogbe has distributed relief items to people impacted by severe flooding in Evwreni and Unenurhie communities of Ughelli North Local Area of the state.

Adjogbe, a native of Evwreni who was appointed to the Okowa administration on Monday, September 5, 2022, conveyed the relief items comprising bags of rice, bags of beans, tubers of yam, cartons of Indomie noodles and tomatoes today Saturday, October 22, 2022.

On the entourage of Adjogbe to distribute the relief items to the flood-impacted people were the Director-General of Fidelis Support Group (FSG), Hon. Desmond Okpako, Prince Matthew Uba, Prince Kenneth Ukpebitere,  Comrade Diamond Friday,  Prince Famous Amrophe,  Comrade Christian Onovughe,  Comrade Tejiri Oghorada,  Comrade UK Emmanuel Tobi, Lucky Azakaza, Samuel Ogah,  Goodluck Awanrierhi, Samuel Ogbare, Urevbu Efe, Murphy Ohwogaga, Oghenero Emumejakpor and others.

Adjogbe was received by PDP and community leaders at Evwreni which Prince Sunday Dolor, Jabin,  Pastor John Akin, Mrs Dominic Mercy, Ese Ugbene, Gideon Oberokpa, Elvis Udjuame, Mrs Onajite Omamomo, James Idekpe Ukoko, Pastor Joshua Ekama and a host of men, women, youths and children.

At Unenurhie community he was also received by PDP and community leaders, President General of Unenurhie, Peter Maison, Mr Abrucha Johnson, the Akpor hor of Unenurhie, Edjere Moneyard Olotu Rode of Unenurhie, Godspower Orunuadevwe Enurhie, Youth Chairman, Johnbull Odophor Youth Chairman, Mrs Loveth Odophor, Mrs Akpomrere Charity and a host of others.

While presenting the relief items to them, the governor’s aide appealed to them to be calm and law-abiding.

“It is indeed very devastating and I am pained by your sufferings occasioned by the ravaging flood which unfortunately is a natural disaster.

“As a grassroots politician, I cannot see you go through the pains alone hence I am here to contribute my quota to ameliorate your plight at this time. By the grace of God we will get out of it,” said Adjogbe.

He also assured them that Governor Okowa has Evwreni community at heart hence he appointed him as Senior Special Assistant (Political) to work with him.

Continuing he said, “Our dear Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, who is also the Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is very passionate about the pains of floods victims across the state and beyond. Through the state Ministry of Environment and other agencies, the governor is doing his best to ease your pains”.

Adjogbe who condoled with a family at Unenurhie community that lost their father to the flood prayed for the repose of his soul.

Responding on behalf of the Evwreni people, Pastor John Akin noted that Hon. Fidelis  Adjogbe is a man who feels the pains of his people and has done well to help out with a lot of items beyond their imagination.

He prayed and wished him well and also extended their greetings to the governor for considering their son for an appointment promising that because of Adjogbe PDP will coast to victory in Evwreni with a large margin in the 2023 general elections.

The Unenurhie President General, Mr Peter Maison while responding said, Hon. Fidelis Adjogbe is a household name known adding that he has never at any time abandoned them.
