The Urhobo Oil and Gas Nationality, UROAGAN, has congratulated Dr Dennis Otuaro on his appointment as the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

UROAGAN in a statement by the National Chairman, Chief (Dr) Obiuwevbi Ominimini, National Secretary, Olorogun Anthony Onyokoko and Patron, Chief Godwin Ogbetuo, congratulated Dr Otuaro for the well-deserved appointment and for being the first Deltan to be appointed to head the programme.

The group noted that Dr Otuaro is not just an indigene of an oil-producing area but has practical knowledge of the pains of the youths and people of the oil-producing areas.

The group also expressed optimism that he has the pedigree and capacity to proffer solutions through the presidential initiative of the Amnesty office.

“Dr Otuaro’s academic records, his interpersonal relationships cum social interactions across the various Ethnic Nationalities in Niger Delta, shall in no doubt help him to succeed as the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

“This is a square peg in a square hole. We commend Mr President for appointing the right choice for this office which shall in the long run contribute to the immediate free flow of oil. Thank you, Mr President.

“We therefore call on all, Phase 1, Phace 2 and Phace 3 of the disarmed and registered amnesty to cooperate with the new Administrator as we also call on Dr Otuaro to carry all along without bias and ethnic colouration,” said UROAGAN.
