The National Chairman of OPAAN Oil Producing Areas Association of Nigeria (OPAAN) Chief Obiuwevbi Ominimini, has canvassed strongly for the restructuring of Nigeria for the continued harmonious existence of the country.
Ominimini said this recently while making a presentation on behalf of Niger Delta at a restructuring summit held in Abuja, the nation’s seat of power.
The OPAAN Nationa Chairman said the people of the Niger Delta believe in the Nigeria project but with federating units, whereby the federating units produce and pay tax to the centre.
“What is most important in Nigeria at the moment is nothing but restructuring.
“Everybody in this country is suffering from the present status quo but, only very few people who are enjoying the status quo do not want restructuring,” Ominimini stated.
