Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, commended Tompolo’s contributions to national security.
High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo at the New Telegraph Awards/Dinner Night 2024, bagged the renowned news organisation “Private Security Personnel of the Year Award”, for his efforts in curbing oil theft and pipeline vandalism, which have significantly increased production and strengthening Nigeria’s economic stability.
Speaking at the event, Keyamo, a fellow award recipient said, “Tompolo has worked tirelessly to protect Nigeria’s oil wealth and has played a crucial role in combating crimes that threaten our economy. His success in reducing oil theft and boosting production is commendable”.
The minister also lauded Tompolo’s ability to unite diverse communities toward a common goal.
“He didn’t just fight crime—he built trust, and that’s why he’s been successful. He’s not just a colleague; he’s a friend and brother, and together, we are committed to ensuring peace and development in the Niger Delta,” Keyamo noted.
The recognition serves as a testament to Tompolo’s transformative impact on Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
From increasing national revenue to fostering peace in oil-producing communities, his efforts have left a lasting mark on the country’s economic landscape.
As Nigeria continues its pursuit of energy security and economic growth, Tompolo’s dedication exemplifies how strategic leadership and community-driven initiatives can drive national progress.
