Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm felicitations to the Olu of Warri Kingdom, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, on the occasion of his 42nd birth anniversary, even as he congratulated the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, His Majesty Albert Akpomudje, SAN, FCIArb, Eyavwie-Alaka I, on his emergence as the 54th Chairman of the Nigerian Body of Benchers.
In separate statements issued in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor lauded both monarchs for their exemplary leadership and contributions to the development of Delta State and the nation.
Felicitating the Olu of Warri on his birthday, Governor Oborevwori commended the revered monarch for his unwavering commitment to promoting harmony and stimulating economic growth in Warri Kingdom since his ascension to the throne.
He noted that the monarch’s reign has brought remarkable transformation, describing his conduct as admirable and marked by dignity, vision, and dedication to duty.
“On behalf of my family, the government and the good people of Delta State, I heartily celebrate Your Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri, as you mark your 42nd birth anniversary.
“Your reign has been impactful, driven by integrity, vision, and a strong passion for unity and progress among your people,” the governor stated, while praying for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, and robust health for the monarch.
In the same vein, Governor Oborevwori has congratulated the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, His Majesty Albert Akpomudje, on his emergence as Chairman of the Body of Benchers, describing the development as a moment of pride and honour for Delta State.
He expressed confidence that the monarch’s distinguished career as a legal luminary would further strengthen the integrity and standards of the legal profession in Nigeria.
“On behalf of my family, the government and the good people of Delta State, I heartily congratulate the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, His Majesty Albert Akpomudje, SAN, FCIArb, Eyavwie-Alaka I, on his emergence as the 54th Chairman of the Nigerian Body of Benchers,” he said.
Akpomudje, who succeeded former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola, now heads the Body of Benchers, the apex regulatory institution for the legal profession in Nigeria, established under the Legal Practitioners Act.
The Ohworode, a seasoned lawyer and the 14th traditional ruler of Olomu Kingdom, was crowned on November 15, 2025.
His emergence as Chairman of the prestigious body has been widely hailed as a testament to his professional excellence and leadership capacity.
