The Delta State Chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, on Friday formally took over the land housing the abandoned Nkoyo Ibori Children Referral Hospital in Agbarho community, Ughelli North Local Government Area.

NewsNet learnt that the approval for the takeover of the land was given to PFN by the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the building of the PFN Alpha and Omega City.

Performing the foundation laying for the building, Governor Okowa represented by the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Christopher Ochor, said the state government deemed it fit to give the land to PFN to use as a City of Refuge to the glory of God.

National President of PFN, Dr Felix Omobude commended Governor Okowa for his kind gesture to give the place to PFN, saying that the National Executive Council of the body recognises his good works and will be rewarded accordingly.

Former National President of PFN and CAN, Papa Ayo Oritsejafor lauded Governor Okowa for the bold step to give the premises to the church of Christ and prayed God to continue to give the church Christians that will promote the things of God.

National Vice President, South-South and pioneer chairman PFN Delta State, Bishop Simeon Okah, who could not withhold his joy said for the state government to give the land to PFN was a clear testimony that it is what the Lord wants the place to become.
