The Warri Correctional Centre in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State was on Thursday attacked by suspected hoodlums.
NewsNet gathered that the hoodlums reportedly attacked the prison and freed some inmates.
A source told our medium that some of the inmates who were carrying menial work outside the fence of the prison allegedly escaped following the attack.
According to the source, security operatives suspected to be soldiers allegedly opened fire on the escaping inmates.
