The Central Bank of Nigeria has said that it will before the end of this year launch new naira notes.
The CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, who announced this at a press conference on Wednesday, said the newly redesigned Naira notes are to come into use, on December 15, 2022.
Emefiele disclosed that the new currencies will include the N200, N500 and N1000 notes.
To exchange the old notes for the new ones the CBN boss advised Nigerians to take them to banks to do so.
