Senator Ned Nwoko, on Sunday, met with Delta North Senatorial Executives, the nine Local Government Chairmen, as well as 98 ward chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the district, towards the consolidation of the party in Delta North.

The meeting, which took place at the Asaba residence of the Delta North APC chairman, Og­bueishi Adizue Eluaka, focused on strengthening the party structure, fostering unity, and promoting strategic engagement on the Renewed Hope and M.O.R.E. development agenda of the federal and state governments, respectively.

Addressing the Delta North Senatorial APC leaders, Senator Nwoko said the meeting was a gathering of brotherhood and common vision, thanking the party leaders for their solidarity.

The federal lawmaker said he remained a “senator at the National Assembly for the good of the entire people of Delta North “as his service transcended partisan inclinations and social class.

Senator Nwoko listed his achievements within the past two years to include the “provision of amenities like roads, solar powered electricity and water, rehabilitation of schools across Delta communities as well as skill acquisition programmes and employment opportunities for constituents” among other initiatives.

He further highlighted his efforts on advocacy for “the upgrade of the Federal College of Education, Asaba to a full-fledged university and the establishment of the College of Agriculture, in Idumuje Ugboko “ to cater for the agrarian needs of Delta North.

Senator Nwoko said he came to the National Assembly to effect a positive societal change and noted that his bills and motions were people-centred.

The Senator also spoke on the agitation for the creation of Anioma state and described the movement as “the centrepiece of his vision for Anioma people”

He expressed confidence that “Anioma state would be a reality and enjoined all to support the cause for the benefit of the present and future generations.

In their remarks, three ward chairmen who spoke on behalf of Aniocha/Oshimili, Ndokwa /Ukwuani and Ika federal constituencies, Frank Asimonye, Goodman Enudeme and Jude Ossai showered encomiums on Senator Nwoko for effective representation of Delta North at the Senate.

They particularly noted the generosity of the senator in ensuring the material well-being of the people and pledged their continued loyalty.

The meeting was attended by the senatorial APC executive members and the nine local government area chairmen of APC in Delta North namely: Hon. Matthew Chinye (Aniocha North), Hon. Norbert Akachukwu Sochukwudinma (Aniocha South), Hon. Austin C. Nnabuife (OshmIli North), Hon. Dada Okolo,(Oshimili South), Hon. Hilary Fada Ibude (Ika South), Hon. Samuel Ekene Kerry (Ika North East), Chief Oputa Kris (Ndokwa East), Hon.Dike Onah (Ndokwa West), and Churchill Ugoena Edem, (Ukwuani) as well as the 98 ward chairmen in the senatorial district.
