Five contestants have qualified for the grand finale of DBS Song of the Year season four from the ten contestants who participated in the semi-final of the music talent hunt competition.

The music talent hunt competition organised by Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri, is powered by the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) and supported by ND Western.

The semi-final encounter which took place at Lascurt Hotels, Ekpan in Uvwie Local Government Area, could be likened to the clash of the Titans, but in the end, Useoghene Kuru, Sonia Grey, Dorlyn Evison, Omamuzo Blessing and Augusta Tekevwe made the list of the five qualified contestants for the grand finale.

One after the other the ten contestants sang to the admiration of all present.

The judges made up of DBS Warri Music Director, Mrs Obes Isonguyo, Music Producers, Teejay and popular Disk Jocker, DJ Famous had a difficult time selecting the chaff from the wheat.

The five qualified contestants for the grand finale will slug it out on Thursday, October 19, 2023, also at Lascurt Hotels by Nigercat Junction Ekpan, beginning at ten in the morning.

The winner of DBS Song of the Year Season Four will go home with One Million naira, second position, Five Hundred Thousand naira, and third position, Two Hundred Thousand naira while others will go home with consolation prizes.

DBS Song of the Year is part of the corporate social responsibility of Delta Broadcasting Service DBS Warri geared towards the discovery and grooming of talented singers in Delta State.
