Mosogar monarch in Delta is dead

Late Ovie of Mosogar, HRM Samson Okirhioboh Imoyin-Omene, Udurhie 1

The traditional ruler of Mosogar Kingdom in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, Udurhie 1, is dead.

The Otota of the Kingdom, Chief Ighoyota Amori, broke the news of the demise of the first monarch of the Kingdom while briefing journalists at the Mosogar Civic Centre on Saturday.

Amori said, “It was only on the 21st of November 2021, that the first son, Prince Darwin Obukohwo Imoyin-Omene accompanied by Chiefs/Elders of HRM’s family (Chief Felix Oboko Imoyin-Omene, Dr. Wilson Odafe Imoyin-Omene amongst others) came to formerly inform me that HRM, Samson Okirihioboh Imoyin-Omene Udurhie 1st has heeded and accepted the invitation of his Ancestors by joining them where he hopes to continue his life outside this physical planet earth.

“Our monarch has travelled and as the Otota of the kingdom, I am by law mandated to formerly and officially inform all relevant authorities which I have done. I am today, Saturday 18th December, 2021, informing the kingdom and the general public that HRM Samson Okirihioboh Imoyin-Omene, Udurhie 1st, Ovie of Mosogar has joined his Ancestors.”
