A notorious mobile phone snatcher simply identified as Lucky has allegedly been stabbed to death by a mob in Warri, Delta State.

NewsNet Nigeria gathered that the incident took place the night of Wednesday, September 14, 2022, in the Iyara area of the Warri metropolis.

The notorious mobile phone snatcher was believed to be a member of a gang of hoodlums that specialised in dispossessing their victims with sharp long daggers in the area.

It was further gathered that a young girl was attacked by Lucky at the popular Akara junction in Iyara that fateful day stabbing her severally in one of her arms.

The young girl was said to have refused to let go of her mobile phone in spite of the injuries from the attack while calling for help to the annoyance of her assiliant.

The young girl it was learnt however got a positive response from some male residents of the area that came to her rescue.

The gallant male residents were said to have overpowered Lucky and that in the process gave him a dose of his action as the mob allegedly stabbed Lucky severally in his back region.

Lucky was said to have managed to escape with the injuries to Iyara Roundabout by Cemetery Road where he later gave up the ghost due to loss of blood.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident.
