Beloved Dr Francis Izuegbunem Nwabua, (aka Izu Million), Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, we look up to the good Lord to grant you eternal rest.

You were a Friend, Brother, Physician, Best Man at our Wedding, dependable ally and so dear to the hearts of our children and members of our extended family.

The news of your transition was so shocking and difficult to manage.

You left at 53 without saying goodbye and we keep asking WHY without getting any answer.

Late Dr Francis Nwabua, as the Best man to Nkem Nwaeke at his wedding at Sacred Hearts Catholic Cathedral in Warri.

Since we met about 24 years ago – I, on a sick bed in a private Clinic somewhere in Warri; You – the Doctor taking care of his patient diligently, our paths crossed and we became so close, as two Bachelors with similar goals and visions.

From treating a sick patient brought to your Clinic, we became friends, then brothers, and about a year later, you were the Best Man at our Marriage ceremonies.

Some of your family and friends became ours and ours became yours too and until your last day, we shared such moments of love and great memories.

It is indeed a death so much felt by our world!

Izu, you were a jolly good fellow!

You were amiable and kind.

You were a dependable ally!

We will always mourn you, dear friend and brother.

As you go home this week, precisely Wednesday, May 1st 2024, we pray that our good Lord rewards your goodness with peaceful rest.

In our honour, we will remain worthy compatriots to your family, particularly your wife and children as your absence has created a huge vacuum!

On behalf of our immediate family and the entire Nwaeke Nwanyaha dynasty of Igbodo Community in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, we pray that our own awesome God grant your soul a good place in His Kingdom, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Good night Doc and peaceful rest grant him Oh Lord!

– From us Nkem, Mary, Ebube, Dubem and Nosike Nwaeke.
