The Mariere, Emekarhe and Odeimor families of Evwreni Community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, will on Friday, November 27, 2020, laid to rest the matriarch of the Mariere family, late Mrs Itienadiophromo Anna Mariere who died at the ripe age of 98years.

She was survived by six children, 27 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, brother, cousins, nephews, nieces and in-laws, including a two term member of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon (Barr) Samuel Oghenevwogaga Mariere.

Hon Mariere who is the last child of the late nonenegerian, told Correspondent in an interview, that there will be a Service of Songs in honor of his mother on Thursday 26th November 2020 at her residence, Ekrameha street, Evwreni, in Ughelli North local government area beginning at 4pm.

The former Lawmaker disclosed that, next day, 27th November 2020, at 9am, the body of his late mother will leave Ufor Hospital Mortuary, Ughelli to St Paul’s Anglican Church, Evwreni, for funeral service, which will be followed by interment at her residence.

He said guests would be entertained at Mariere Primary School play ground, where in-law visits will also take place, while on Sunday 29th November, an outing service to round off the burial rites would be held also at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Evwreni.

Hon Mariere had earlier in statement signed by the eldest son of his late mother, Mr Ejovi Mariere and Elder Bernard Ochuko Emekarhe, announced the glorious home call of the matriarch of the Mariere family and the burial arrangements.

He described the late mother as one in a million, saying that she will be greatly missed by not only her biological children but all that came in contact with her.

Hon Mariere thanked God for the long and fulfilled life lived by the late mother who narrowly missed celebrating her centenary birthday as she died at ninety eight years, living behind tales of goodness and sound testimonies.
