DTHA confirms Okowa’s five new commissioners

The Delta State House of Assembly Thursday screened and confirmed the five nominees for appointments as Commissioners and members of the State Executive Council.

Recall that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa had in a letter read by the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, during Wednesday’s plenary said the appointment of the Commissioners was in line with section 192, subsection 2 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The five commissioner nominees who were screened and confirmed during Thursday’s plenary were: Dr Kinsley Ashibogu (Ndokwa East), Dr Darlington Ijeh (Oshimili South), Dr Godfrey Enita (Sapele), Mr Anthony Ofoni (Uvwie) and Mrs Nkechi Chukwura (Ndokwa East).
