Addressing journalists outside the courtroom, he reiterated the council’s resolve to uphold justice and protect the children’s rights

“We will not relent until justice is served, and let this serve as a deterrent to anyone planning to infringe upon the rights and safety of our children,” he stated.

The prosecuting counsel, Mr. S.O. Egedegbe, confirmed that bail had been granted to the defendant under stringent conditions.

According to him, the bail is set at ₦5 million, with a requirement for a Level 16 civil servant to stand as surety. The suspect will remain in custody until these conditions are met.
